Strange things are creeping along Corpus Christi Bay. LEX will be haunted from October 9 to 31 and the ghosts will be waiting for you! Castle of Terror Productions and LEX have a ghost ship tour you’ll never forget!  The terrifying tour takes the bravest of souls down to the 2nd and 3rd decks of the WWII era aircraft carrier to spaces never before opened to the public. You should be ready to handle steep ladders, dark corridors, creaky hatchways and unimaginable sights, screams and sounds. This is an intense haunted experience – think twice before enlisting!  Ages 6 and up, must be able to navigate ladders and confined spaces.

Annual Halloween “Pipescreams” Spooktacular Concert at 7:30 PM
This fun concert featuring all types of music will be presented by some of Corpus Christi’s most talented musicians and will appeal to all ages – especially children. The Texas A&M University Trombone Choir will be guest performers.  There will be a costume parade and prizes will be awarded for the best adult and best children’s costume. Local celebrities will be the judges. The performance will feature local church musicians and friends playing favorites including Bach’s “Toccata & Fugue in D Minor.” The organists will be playing the 72 rank Pipe Organ of First United Methodist Church. This instrument, featuring it’s unique French-style console, is one of the finest instruments in South Texas and has been featured on the cover of The American Organist. Since its installation in 1962 and renovation in 1988, many of the world’s finest organists have presented recitals here.  There is plenty of parking available. Port Aransas Sand Pumpkin Patch from 10 AM to 1 PM
Ever made a pumpkin face in the sand? Celebrate Halloween on the beach. Bring the whole family or come alone to carve your very own pumpkin head out of sand. The ‘pumpkin patch’ will have a sculpture created by master sculptors with vines coming out of it. The vines will have pumpkin heads created from the sand for kids of ALL ages to carve any way they choose.  Experts and volunteers will be on hand to help led by expert sandsculptor Mark Landrum (Port Aransas Sandcastle Guy) and Community Program Coordinator Pam Greene.  This is a FREE event, and everyone is welcome!

8th Annual Dia de los Muertos Street Festival at 3 PM
Four stages with live entertainment: one for popular latin-influenced music, one for more traditional cultural performances, one for up-and-coming Texas bands and a dance stage.  Our  Kids’ Corner includes craft activities, games, and a rock-climbing wall supplied by Kidz Ultimate Party Zone.  Student Art Associations from TAMUCC and Del Mar College provide demonstrations for the event.  Plus, we have the enormous Hecho-a-Mano Art Expo featuring many Dia de los Muertos themed craft items, jewelry, and artworks by over 90 vendors.

St. Joseph Annual Fall Festival from 1:30 - 9:00 PM
There will live music, a raffle, games for the children, a silent auction, karaoke, face painting, moon walks, and lots of great food! Come taste the delicious turkey legs, menudo, funnel cakes, roasted corn, Frito pies and more from our food booths. There will be seating available and you are welcome to bring your lawn chairs too! The proceeds from this fundraiser will help to reduce our parish debt.
