Art Museum of South Texas Christmas Tree Forest: A Reading Wonderland
Once again, the Art Museum of South Texas has partnered with the Junior League of Corpus Christi, H-E-B, and area schools to bring the Christmas Tree Forest to you! And this year, we are going to debut a literacy theme that we’re sure you’ll love. Reflecting the theme of A Reading Wonderland, the forest will be made up of individual trees decorated to represent a selection of award-winning childhood classic books. Using a first-come, first-served basis, 30 school groups were selected to read their chosen book, create related decorations and trim their trees accordingly. As an added bonus, Museum visitors will once again be able to cast their votes for their top three favorite trees. Winning school groups will receive generous H-E-B gift cards. After the exhibit concludes, all trees will be donated to families in need to enjoy during the remainder of the holiday season.
