Corpus Christi Fun for Kids Weekday Picks May 31-June 2, 2016

There are always fun things to do on weekends but sometimes you want to do something with your kids during the week. I've picked out a few ideas of fun things to do and the best part is most of them are FREE!

Art Center of Corpus Christi Las Doñas De La Corte Exhibit 
This is the last week to see the beautiful Las Doñas de la Corte coronation gowns.

Tuesday, May 31

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Guided Nature Walk from 8 to 9 am
Get in touch with nature while the weather is still nice. Please bring good walking shoes, plenty of water, and dress for the weather. Binoculars and field guides will be loaned on a first come first served basis. All children attending the program must be accompanied by an adult.  Meet at the front porch of the Learning Center. Ben F. McDonald Public Library Superhero Game Day at 4 pm
Board games, puzzles and X-Box Kinect! (ages 3+)

La Retama Central Library S.T.R.EA.M. Team Loom Knitting at 4:00 pm 
Join us and learn basic loom knitting skills. Make a hat, headband, flower. A meal, courtesy of the Food Bank of Corpus Christi, will be served to children participating in the program. Ages 8 & up.

Robert Wollman Planetarium at King High School at 5:30 pm and 7 pm
Last one until August!  Tickets go on sale 30 minutes prior to each show time. There is no late seating. Reservations are not required for the Tuesday evening shows. Tips: The planetarium does get cold at times. For evening shows, it might be a good idea to bring a jacket or sweater.
Cost: Admission (cash or check) Adults $4 Seniors (age 55+): $3, Children (age 4-15) $3, Children under 4 free.

Wednesday, June 1

Art Center of Corpus Christi Family Art Time from 5 to 9 pm
A kids art project every Wednesday.  FREE for the whole family to enjoy. All ages are welcome (children accompanied by parent/guardian), drop-in art activity, no registration, wear your painting garb!

Corpus Christi Downtown Farmers' Market from 5 to 8 pm
Shop, visit and enjoy shaded seating while you listen to live music and enjoy dinner right on our beautiful Bayfront.

Rotating activities, classic board games, Wii play, and special guests.

Join the S.T.R.E.A.M. Team for some fun science activities. For ages 5 - 12.

Join us for some pajama fun, including music, dancing, and a story. Great family fun!

La Retama Central Library S.T.R.E.A.M. Team - Terrific Thursdays at 4 pm
