Birding 101 for Kids at 9:00 am 
Each summer, children 7-16 years discover the joy of birding by participating in the class "Birding 101 for Kids." These introductory classes are designed to teach students the fundamentals of bird identification and at the same time give them a greater understanding of their local environment. Students will learn: - How to use binoculars - Bird identification with a strong focus on field marks - Eat like a bird - Make a bird feeder and sketch a bird or plant just like the famous ornithologist, James Audubon.  Students are asked to bring their own binoculars if possible, but we have several to loan out on a first-come basis. Please dress for the weather and wear sunscreen, hat etc. This classes is for children 7-16 years of age. **Parents are welcome to stay, or drop off their kids. **Pick up and drop off are in the same location. This program is sponsored by the Coastal Bend Audubon Society, The University of Texas Marine Science Institute, and the Mission-Aransas Reserve.

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Guided Nature Walk from 8 to 9 am
Get in touch with nature while the weather is still nice.  Please bring good walking shoes, plenty of water, and dress for the weather.  Binoculars and field guides will be loaned on a first come first served basis. Early Scholars Academy Family Summer Camp from 6:00-7:30 pm
Use your imagination to create family adventure through three diff erent habitats: polar, ocean and rainforest. Track your travels on a map, then write and illustrate a book about your adventures. Photo selfie scavenger hunt of activities. For families with children ages 4-12. Parents are required to attend this event with children.
