Rocket Fizz Corpus Christi Grand Opening at 10:30 am
Drawings for lots of goodies, free bumper stickers to the first 150 people, and the Balloon Man will be here 10:30am-12:30pm!!! (Winners of the drawings will be announced Saturday).

Goose Island State Park Fishing with a Ranger from 8:30 to 9:30 am
Join a park ranger for a few fishing basics. Bring your own bait! Want to try fishing, but are not sure where to start?  Come to Fishing with a ranger!  Learn a few fishing basics, like baiting a hook, casting a line, and if you are lucky reeling in a fish! The park will provide a limited number of fishing poles for use during the program, poles can also be checked out from Park Headquarters first-come, first-serve. Bring bait, water, sunscreen, fishing pole, and dress in weather appropriate clothing.  Shrimp is a popular choice and can be found at most local bait stands. Events may be canceled pending weather, or if no participants are present. For information contact Ranger Janelle Rand at 361-729-2858 or email.
Cost: There is no fee for attending this program although park entrance  is required.  Entrance fees are $5 per person over the age of 13, children 12 and under are free, or free with a current Texas State Park Pass.

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Guided Nature Walks! from 9 to 10 am
Meet on the Learning Center porch. The parking lot is now open. Please bring good walking shoes, plenty of water, and dress for the weather. This program is FREE of charge and open to individuals and families. Binoculars and field guides will be loaned on a first come first served basis. Marina Arts District Masterpiece in A Day from 9 am to 6 pm
Five exciting events in one day: Visual Art Competition, Poetry and Prose Competition, Music Competition, Culinary Arts Competition, and Art Parade. Anyone can participate in the Art Parade it is free and open to all groups, organizations, family and friends, and creative individuals of all ages. Schedule is here.

Celebration of Flight with Hawkwatch from 10 am - 5 pm
Features lots of exciting activities for the whole family. Watch the migrating hawks from the observation tower, learn about flight and do lots of activities, plus see some really cool bird shows! Coastal Bend Children in Nature will be leading a series of family friendly speakers, nature walks, and booths to complement the festival hosted by HawkWatch International.
