Home Depot Kids Workshop Fire Truck from 9 am to 12 pm
Join our hands-on workshop and you and your child can build a toy fire truck with real wheels so you can race it to the rescue! Once the toy truck is built, your child can decorate it with paint & vehicle stickers. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron and pin. All store participate!
Cost: Free. Register online so the store will know how many to expect.

Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas Annual Open House from 9:00 am-12:00 pm
The Girl Scout Corpus Christi Service Center will be open to the public and is a great opportunity for girls and their families to see what Girl Scouts is all about. We are excited for the new year filled with programs and activities for girls.

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Guided Nature Walks! from 9 to 10 am
Meet on the Learning Center porch. The parking lot is now open. Please bring good walking shoes, plenty of water, and dress for the weather. This program is FREE of charge and open to individuals and families. Binoculars and field guides will be loaned on a first come first served basis. Rockin' K Maze Opening Day from 10 am - 8 pm
Whataburger will be at the maze from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm doing their own games and giveaways! The first 300 paying customers at the ticket booth will receive something FREE from Whataburger! Cow train closes at dark.
Cost: Admission prices (3-64) $10.00 + tax, Seniors (65+) $ 8.00 + tax, Children 2 and under are free! Cow train ride is $1. Ticket booth closes 30 minutes before posted closing time.

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Storytime at 3:30 pm
Join Oso Preserve staff members as they read nature themed children’s books, explore artifacts, and meet the animal ambassadors. Learn more about native wildlife, habitats, adaptations and other topics through relevant children’s stories. This program is FREE of charge and intended for children ages 2-6. Each story will be supplemented with a walk, artifact, animal ambassador or other interactive. All children attending the program must be accompanied by an adult. Trinity Lutheran Church Oktoberfest from 5-9 pm
Join us for our annual Oktoberfest, meal to be served at 6:30pm (consists of schnitzel and sides). Booths featuring a la carte German food (bratwurst, soft pretzels, German sweets). Craft and Novelty booth, free children's area with games and crafts. The Majek Polka band will play under the Biergarten tent. The CC German club will be in attendance, entertaining with traditional German music. Lederhosen and Dirndls encouraged but not required!

All Saints' Episcopal Church Blessing of the Animals at 10:30 am
You are invited to bring their pets and join us as we celebrate the life and legacy of St. Francis of Assisi and our connection with God’s creation at our annual Blessing of the Animals Sunday. We will gather downstairs on our Labyrinth for prayers, music, communion and a celebration of all God’s creatures great and small. Special treats for both humans and pets will be served.
