I'm hoping the weather this weekend is as gorgeous as it was last weekend because it's really starting to feel like Fall!  We've got a whole roundup of activities for you to do and we're always adding more. Some of these activities may require registration. Always check with the organizations for the most updated information or if you have any questions. We try to give you the most accurate information and remember some free events may still require a purchase.  We appreciate the shares and likes. If we're missing something, let us know! Dinner, a movie and ART! Dinner will be cheese and pepperoni pizza. Movie ~ "It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" ART will be painting ceramics! For ages 5 years old and up! Children 4 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Fulton Mansion State Historic Site: Fulton's Funeral Tours at 6:30 pm
Join us as we journey back in time to the days following George Fulton’s death on October 30, 1893, in an after-dark, guided tour of the Mansion’s poignant funeral exhibit that recreates the death and mourning customs common in the nineteenth-century home. Tours are 30 minutes in length and begin promptly. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour. Limited to 8 people per tour. Limited to children 10 and older.

Haunting on the Blue Ghost from 7- 10:30 pm
Strange things are creeping along Corpus Christi Bay. LEX will be haunted from and the ghosts will be waiting for you! The terrifying tour takes the bravest of souls down to the 2nd and 3rd decks of the WWII era aircraft carrier to spaces never before opened to the public. You should be ready to handle steep ladders, dark corridors, creaky hatchways and unimaginable sights, screams and sounds. This is an intense haunted experience – think twice before enlisting! Ages 6 and up, must be able to navigate ladders and confined spaces.

Harbor Playhouse Presents Treasure Island at 7:30 pm
Based on the masterful adventure novel by Robert Louis Stevenson, Treasure Island is a stunning yarn of piracy on the tropical seas. At the center of it all are Jim Hawkins, a 14-year-old boy who longs for adventure, and the infamous Long John Silver, who is a complex study of good and evil, perhaps the most famous hero-villain of all time.

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Guided Nature Walks! from 9 to 10 am
Meet on the Learning Center porch. The parking lot is now open. Please bring good walking shoes, plenty of water, and dress for the weather. This program is FREE of charge and open to individuals and families. Binoculars and field guides will be loaned on a first come first served basis. Schanen Hike & Bike Trail Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 10 am
Join the Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation-Live Learn Play to celebrate this exciting new concept for trails to increasing our network of fitness and recreation throughout Corpus Christi. This trail runs from Yorktown and Saratoga Boulevards along the Schanen storm water way. It is more than a mile-long gravel and concrete path, connecting Snead, Whales, Cedar Ridge, and Breckenridge Parks along its route. After the ribbon cutting, everyone will be invited to take an inaugural stroll along the trail. Don't forget your sneakers!

Cinnamon Shore Fall Fest and Tour of Homes from 10 am to 10 pm
Five of Cinnamon Shore’s luxury beach homes will be open and available for a tour and will be followed by annual festival. Fall Festival activities will include pumpkin decorating, lawn games, a mechanical bull, local vendor booths, fun activities for the kids and live music from local artists and headlining band, Blue Water Highway.

Nature journals are a valuable tools for capturing outdoor experiences through reflective writing exercises. Goose Island State Park Star Party- Full Moon Edition at 7 pm
Join us as the sun sets and prepare for a night of star gazing. Or in the case of a full moon, a night of moon gazing! What to bring: Chairs, blankets, mosquito repellant, and binoculars. What are we doing: Learn how to use a Star Chart to navigate the night sky. Then observe the moon through binoculars and a telescope. Not sure where to meet? Art Museum of South Texas Family Day: Celebrating Dorothy Hood from 1 – 5 pm
Join us for this very special day in which we’re celebrating the life and art of Texas artist Dorothy Hood. Stroll through the galleries and immerse yourself into the world of Dorothy through her art and an array of interactive experiences like you’ve never seen before! Watch an abstracted version of yourself walk along the corridor, “touch” a hotspot on a Hood painting to explore her techniques, view the cosmos overhead in the O’Connor gallery, create a larger-than-life digital painting using Dorothy’s methods and motion sensor technology and so much more! In addition, from 1-3 pm, there will be hands-on art activities, a special screening of a film produced by Dorothy’s husband Maidana in the H-E-B Theater and mini-tours given by our docents.
