It's been a long week but family time is always great for the soul. There are many fun things to do in Corpus Christi with kids this Veterans Day weekend. There are also some activities honoring our veterans. Remember, some of these activities may require registration. Texas State Aquarium Free Admission for Military in Honor of Veterans Day.

Friday, November 11

USS Lexington Museum On The Bay Salute to Veterans Ceremony from 9 am to 5 pm
Veterans and active duty members of the United States military service will receive free admission to the Museum on Veterans Day. There will be a Salute to Veterans Ceremony will take place at 2 pm and will include a tribute to our military and a wreath-laying. Immediately following the ceremony the United States Coast Guard Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi will conduct a fly-over with the MH-65. The helicopter will then land on the Flight Deck and visitors will have the opportunity to speak with the crew and check out the helicopter.

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Guided Nature Walks! from 9 to 10 am
Meet on the Learning Center porch. The parking lot is now open. Please bring good walking shoes, plenty of water, and dress for the weather. This program is FREE of charge and open to individuals and families. Binoculars and field guides will be loaned on a first come first served basis. Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History Family Fun Day AND Dollar Day from 10 am to 5 pm
Brush up on your history and Texas facts and join in learning all about our grand state! There will be food available for purchase, actors in historic costumes, and lots of activities to do at the museum

Rockin' K Maze American Heroes Day from 10 am - 8 pm
Free admission for military, firefighters, law enforcement, and emergency medical service personnel. May purchase tickets for your spouse and dependents at a group rate discount.(Group rate is $8.00 plus tax) Military dependent ID’s are not valid for free admission. Please bring proof of employment (pay stub, badge, employee ID, etc.) to show at the maze entrance to receive your FREE admission.
Cost: Admission prices (3-64) $10.00 + tax, Seniors (65+) $ 8.00 + tax, Children 2 and under are free! Cow train ride is $1. Ticket booth closes 30 minutes before posted closing time.

Coastal Bend Veterans Day Celebration from 10 am to 10 pm
Live music/bands, car show, free haircuts for veterans, bbq cook off competition, a kids cook off, games for children & adults, photo booth, food trucks, and merchandise vendors. Many veterans organizations will be present.
Cost: Admission is $5 pre-sale if you buy your ticket online ($10 at the door), veterans are free!

Michaels Kids Club Clay Pot Reindeer from 10 am - 12 pm
They craft, you shop! Kids 3 and up can enjoy a quick project and take home a finished masterpiece. Sign up in store or online, or just drop in. $2 per project, supplies included. Parent or guardian must remain on premises during the event. Enjoy some hands-on family crafting! Grownups and kids will work together to design and create colorful thumbprint ornaments.
