Another weekend jam-packed full of all kinds of holiday fun in Corpus Christi and surrounding areas. There are breakfasts with Santa, plays, and even some rescheduled events from last week. Many events are free! Remember, some of these activities may require registration. Always check with the organizations for the most updated information or if you have any questions. Harbor Playhouse Presents: A Christmas Carol at 7:30 pm (Sunday matinee at 2:30 pm)
This timeless classic is a spectacular musical, which tells the tale of Ebenezer Scrooge as he goes through a series of strange events after being warned by his former business partner Jacob Marley to change his ways. This brilliant musical follows Scrooge on Christmas Eve, as he is visited by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, which leads him to ultimately discover the true spirit of Christmas.

Aurora Arts Theatre presents The Marvelous Wonderettes at 7:30 pm (Sunday matinee at 2:30 pm)
This smash off-Broadway hit takes you to the 1958 Springfield High School prom where we meet Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy, and Suzy, four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts! As we learn about their lives and loves, the girls serenade us with classic ‘50s hits including “Lollipop,” “Dream Lover,” “Stupid Cupid,” and “Lipstick on Your Collar.” In act two, the Wonderettes reunite to take the stage and perform at their ten-year reunion. We learn about the highs and lows the girls have experienced in the past decade and are charmed to find that no matter what life throws their way, they will conquer it together. Featuring over 30 classic ’50s and ’60s hits, The Marvelous Wonderettes will keep you smiling in this must-take musical trip down memory lane!

Art Museum of South Texas Christmas Tree Forest: A Reading Wonderland from 10 am to 5 pm (Sunday hours from 1 to 5 pm)
A showcase of Christmas trees at the Art Museum of South Texas decorated to mirror children’s books chosen by participating schools. Participating schools will decorate their trees to be displayed at the museum during regular business hours.

Flour Bluff Business Association Community Christmas 2016 from 6 to 10 pm
Join the Flour Bluff Business Association in welcoming Santa and his elves. Every kid will get a chance to meet Santa for a picture and gift. We will have entertainment throughout the evening including a Cake Walk and much more!

Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department Pop in the Park: How The Grinch Stole Christmas starting at dusk
This laugh-out-loud movie is about the Grinch who can’t stand the holiday cheer from the Whos of Whooville. So, along with his companion, Max, he steals the gifts from under the Christmas trees of every Who. As the Whos rejoice anyway, he realizes that Christmas is more than just gifts and Roast Beast. A large Lighted Boat Parade on the North canal route. Usually 40 to 50 boats collecting toys for the children of the city of Corpus Christi and Nueces County.

Circle of Life with Nants'Ingonyama" The King's jealous brother, SCAR, no longer heir to the throne, skips the ceremony, upsetting Mufasa. So, the story begins...this is a youth production, all our characters are 9th grader and under.

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Guided Nature Walks! from 9 to 10 am
Meet on the Learning Center porch. The parking lot is now open. Please bring good walking shoes, plenty of water, and dress for the weather. This program is FREE of charge and open to individuals and families. Binoculars and field guides will be loaned on a first come first served basis. Christmas is a time of tradition, and our annual holiday family day is one you won’t want to miss! Corpus Christi Cathedral Presents A Touch of Frozen Frost- 2016 Home for the Holidays Concert at 7:30 pm
Moms, Dads, Grandmas and Grandpas will want to make sure they bring their little Elsas, Olafs and Annas in costume to help Guest Maestro, Paul Haas, make sure everyone has a Fabulously Frozen Fun time! Maestro Haas will begin this much anticipated holiday concert with traditional holiday favorites including Sleigh Ride and selections from the Nutcracker. Then, audience members are in for a real treat when the Del Mar Master Chorus and the Corpus Christi Chorale sing the Hallelujah Chorus. "In the not too distant future, Christmas has been all but forgotten. Join one family on an adventure through time as they discover the true meaning and power of Christmas!" Christmas Festival from 4-7 pm. Inflatables, food trucks, face painting, rockwall climbing, gaming and diva trailers, pony rides, hay rides, s'mores bonfire, and more. This is a free event for the whole community, though we will have food trucks on hand if you'd like to purchase snacks, food, and drinks.
