Nueces County Medical Society Health and Fitness Fair from 9 am to 2 pm
Fitness Demos/Information, Screenings and Testing, CPR Family and Friends Training, Blood Donation, Demonstrations, Diabetes Education, Children’s Resources, Women’s Services, Senior Health Immunizations and much more. Lots to do and learn and many freebies including bike helmets for kids.

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Guided Nature Walks! from 9 to 10 am
Meet on the Learning Center porch. Please bring good walking shoes, plenty of water, and dress for the weather. This program is FREE of charge and open to individuals and families. Binoculars and field guides will be loaned on a first come first served basis. All children attending the program must be accompanied by an adult. For more information contact 361-826-PLAY (7529)

Art Center of Corpus Christi Family Art Time from 10 am to 2 pm
Free fun art time for families every Saturday! Families of all ages are welcome. CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT, drop-in art activity, no registration. While supplies last.

Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History Little Learners Hour – The Beach from 10 - 11 am
Starfish, turtles, dolphins! Oh my! We will have a whale of a time learning all about our beaches and the animals that call it home. Join us with your little one for a fun and educational morning!

Anita and W.T. Neyland Public Library J.R.R. Tolkien Birthday Movie Bash at 10 am
Celebrate J.R.R. Tolkien's 125th birthday every weekend in January by watching your favorite Tolkien movie. You can bring your own snacks, drinks and cushions too. 10 a.m. The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (170 min PG-13). Children under 13 must be accompanied by parent at all times.

Michaels Stores Kids Club Craft Stick Cocoa Mug from 10 am to 12 pm
They craft, you shop! Kids 3 and up can enjoy a quick project and take home a finished masterpiece. Sign up in store or online, or just drop in. Parent or guardian must remain on premises during the event.

Barnes and Noble Nanette's Baguette Storytime at 11 am
Mo Willems' hilarious new picture book Nanette's Baguette follows our plucky heroine on her first big solo trip to the bakery. But... will Nanette get the baguette from baker Juliette? Or will Nanette soon be beset with regret?

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Storytime at 3:30 pm
Join Oso Preserve staff members as they read nature themed children’s books, explore artifacts, and meet the animal ambassadors. Learn more about native wildlife, habitats, adaptations and other topics through relevant children’s stories. This program is FREE of charge and intended for children ages 2-6. Each story will be supplemented with a walk, artifact, animal ambassador or other interactive. All children attending the program must be accompanied by an adult. American Bank Center Movie Ice Skate Night from 4 to 9 pm
The American Bank Center will hold another open skate to the public and this time, patrons will also get to enjoy a movie! During the open skate, guests get to enjoy great food, drinks and Walt Disney’s Frozen. Doors open at 3:30 pm. There will be two sessions, first session 4-6 pm, second session 7-9 pm with the movie Frozen being shown. Ice skates will be available on a first come-first-serve basis (limited quantities in each size) and socks are required to skate. 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult/guardian and all skaters need to sign a waiver. Sunday, January 22

Gulf Coast Humane Society Education Class: Happy Healthy Friends from 12 to 3 pm
Children will learn what pets need in order maintain healthy happy lives. They will be able to identify the different responsibilities of having a pet and will be able to identify situations where a pet would benefit a family and situations where they would not. They will use compassion and empathy to relate their wants and need to those of a pet and family. Classes are open to parents and children aged 7-10. Classes are free, but donations are appreciated!
