Friday, February 3

Art Museum of South Texas Free First Friday from 10 am - 5 pm
The first Friday of every month is free public admission to the Art Museum of South Texas. The Gift Shop and Hester's Cafe also are open to the public.

Marina Arts District Downtown Artwalk from 5:30 to 10 pm
On the first Friday of every month you’ll find artists, musicians and all things creative converge in the Marina Arts District. It's where Downtown comes alive with bands on every block, food trucks serving up South Texas fare, and art galleries featuring local and national artists. Take in the free live music and local flavors outside, find a nice watering hole to duck into for a quick drink, or grab a bite to eat. Make sure to stop by the The Historic Ritz Theatre to view the Altars of Remembrance display at 715 N Chaparral St.

Art Museum of South Texas Dollar After Dark from 5:30 - 9 pm
Visit the Museum after hours for a special reduced admissions rate of $1 during Artwalk!

Garcia Arts & Education Center from 6 to 8 pm
Family Night Out includes a variety of educational groups as well as entertaining and therapeutic activities. Groups and activities include: art, games and action exercises, stress management, psycho-education, and community education. The groups and activities focus on decreasing family conflict, increasing family cohesion, and promoting healthy family management. Emphasis is placed on healthy beliefs, family bonding, emotional awareness and expression, and communication skill building. Cost: Free

Cinderela Gymnastics Cheerleading and Dance Ingleside from 6 to 10 pm
Open gym, Junior Olympics fundraiser. Concessions available.

Saturday, January 7

Home Depot Kids Workshop from 9 am to 12 pm
Join our hands-on workshop and you and your child can build a Valentine-themed photo box, perfect for keeping photos of loved ones front and center. Once the box is built, your child can decorate it with paint and The Home Depot stickers. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron and pin

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Guided Nature Walks! from 9 to 10 am
Meet on the Learning Center porch. Please bring good walking shoes, plenty of water, and dress for the weather. This program is FREE of charge and open to individuals and families. Binoculars and field guides will be loaned on a first come first served basis. All children attending the program must be accompanied by an adult. For more information contact 361-826-PLAY (7529)

Art Center of Corpus Christi Family Art Time from 10 am to 2 pm
Free fun art time for families every Saturday! Families of all ages are welcome. CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT, drop-in art activity, no registration. While supplies last.

Michaels Stores Kids Club Sprout Valentine's Treat Bag from 10 am to 12 pm
They craft, you shop! Kids 3 and up can enjoy a quick project and take home a finished masterpiece. Sign up in store or online, or just drop in. Parent or guardian must remain on premises during the event.

Play for All Playground at Salinas Park Grand Opening at 10:30 am
This new outdoor area will provide play opportunities for children of all ages and abilities. It's designed to promote healthy development of all children's physical, social, cognitive and sensory abilities. The playground gives all children the chance to play, grow and learn side-by-side.

Texas State Museum of Asian Cultures and Education Center Taste of Asia from 11 am to 4 pm
Are you a foodie? Do you like Asian food? Or, are you a taste-bud adventurer waiting to whet your palate with a new, exotic dish? Or, like me, do you just like to eat? Come hungry and ready to travel across the world through the power of your tastebuds at the Texas State Museum of Asian Culture's food festival: A Taste of Asia!
Cost: Admission is free but tickets will be available for purchase to get food from vendors.

Barnes and Noble Disney Reads Day at 11 am
Celebrate the Magic of Storytelling on Disney Reads Day! Join us as we read popular Disney stories and do fun activities to inspire kids' imaginations. Plus, giveaways including stickers, bookmarks and mini-posters (while supplies last).

ToysRUs Pokémon Trade and Collect Event from 12 to 2 pm
Kids ages 6 and up will receive an exclusive FREE Cosmog foil card, Pokémon TCG Sun & Moon Collector’s Album and can participate in a Pokémon Coloring Activity.

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Storytime at 3:30 pm
Join Oso Preserve staff members as they read nature themed children’s books, explore artifacts, and meet the animal ambassadors. Learn more about native wildlife, habitats, adaptations and other topics through relevant children’s stories. This program is FREE of charge and intended for children ages 2-6. Each story will be supplemented with a walk, artifact, animal ambassador or other interactive. All children attending the program must be accompanied by an adult. Sunday, January 8

Marina Arts District BridgeWalk from 8:30 am - 11 am 
Registration starts at 7:15 am and Walk begins at 8:30 pm,  BridgeWalk is a monthly opportunity to get some exercise with a one of a kind view. The bridge route takes you up and over the beautiful Corpus Christi Harbor Bridge. The Alternate route for those with strollers, small children, and animals can take the scenic route down along the water to the Marina T Heads and back. Both routes are measured to be 6020 yards (3.42 miles).

Executive Surf Club 2nd Annual Puppy Bowl from 2-6 pm
Joins us on Super Bowl Sunday as we host our second annual Puppy Bowl and Adoption Drive! There will be adorable pups participating in the "Puppy Bowl" as they await their forever home! Don't forget: all are welcome on our dog-friendly patio. Never fear, football fans. We will have all of our tv's AND our projector tuned into the Super Bowl at kick-off, following Pedigree's televised Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet!
