Our libraries keep us busy so make sure to check their schedules for full activity lists. Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Guided Nature Walk from 8 to 9 am
Get in touch with nature while the weather is still nice. Please bring good walking shoes, plenty of water, and dress for the weather. Binoculars and field guides will be loaned on a first come first served basis. All children attending the program must be accompanied by an adult. Meet at the front porch of the Learning Center. La Palmera Pet Nights with the Easter Bunny from 5 to 8 pm
Bring your pet for a pic with the Easter Bunny! Pet Nights benefit deserving pet charities in the Coastal Bend, including: Gulf Coast Humane Society, The Cattery Cat Shelter, Mission Pawsible Animal Assistance, For The Love Of Strays, and Kanines & Kitties Corpus Christi. Robert Wollman Planetarium at King High School at 6 pm
Tickets go on sale 30 minutes prior to each show time. There is no late seating. Reservations are not required for the Tuesday evening shows. Tips: The planetarium does get cold at times. For evening shows, it might be a good idea to bring a jacket or sweater.

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Storytime at 3:30 pm
Join Oso Preserve staff members as they read nature themed children’s books, explore artifacts, and meet the animal ambassadors. Learn more about native wildlife, habitats, adaptations and other topics through relevant children’s stories. This program is FREE of charge and intended for children ages 2-6. Each story will be supplemented with a walk, artifact, animal ambassador or other interactive. All children attending the program must be accompanied by an adult. Corpus Christi Hooks Season Opener at 7:05 pm
Gates open 5:05 pm. Hooks Magnetic Schedules for 5,000 fans from the Corpus Christi Caller-Times upon exit. The first 1,000 fans take home an Opening Day T-Shirt from Mike Shaw Automotive. Thirsty Thursday (discounted soda and beer), from Stripes. As is tradition before each Hooks home opener, the starting nine participate in a memorial first pitch to honor those who've passed away during the off-season. After 8:30 am on the 13th, go to the Stripes Facebook Page to learn the Stripes Thirsty Thursday Word of the Day. Later that day or night, repeat the word at the Whataburger Field box office and receive a free Hooks Thirsty Thursday reserved-seat or general admission ticket for each Thirsty Thursday ticket purchased. Stick around for postgame fireworks from the Hooks.
