July is coming to an end but the fun still continues. Lots of fun this weekend! Remember, some of these activities may require registration. Port Aransas Community Theatre Presents Disney's The Lion King at 7:30 pm (and 2:30 pm on Sunday)
Rafiki gathers all the animals to weclome the newborn cub of King Mufasas and Queen Sarabi. The king's jealous brother, Scar, no longer heir to the throne, skips the ceremony, upsetting Mufasa. Young Simba grows into a curious young lion, Mufasas explains the circle of life and that the young Simba will one day be King of the Pirdelands. Young Simba shares this news with Scar, who encourages his nephew to visit the forbidden Elephant Graveyard and the adventures begin as Scar tries to kill Simba and Mufasas. A wonderful family Disney production. A must see. The circle of life.

Aurora Arts Theater Presents Fiddler on the Roof at 7:30 pm (and 2:30 pm on Sunday)
Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia.

Gates open 5:35 pm. 70s Night, so dress the part! Also, the first 1,000 fans take home a '70s poster from Radiology Associates. A turtle hatchling release is expected between Saturday, July 29 and Monday, July 31. Dates are always tentative but you can call the Hatchling Hotline the morning of to make sure it at 361-949-7163 for the latest information about the release

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Guided Nature Walks from 9 to 10 am
Meet on the Learning Center porch. Please bring good walking shoes, plenty of water, and dress for the weather. This program is open to individuals and families. Binoculars and field guides will be loaned on a first come first served basis. All children attending the program must be accompanied by an adult.

Alamo Drafthouse Corpus Christi PBS Kids: Wild Kratts Back in Creature Time at 9:30 am
Reserve your seat with a donation with all ticket sales benefiting education programs at your local PBS station. This is an all-ages show with Alamo for All rules - noisy young fans won't be asked to leave the theater but we do ask that cellphones and other devices stay dark.

University of Texas Marine Science Institute Over In the Ocean Program from 10 to 11 am
Did you know that coral is an animal and that there is a coral reef in the Gulf of Mexico? Learn about the amazing habitat formed by these peculiar creatures and the current dangers corals face. This program is geared for children ages 6 and older. Parents must accompany children and participation is limited to the first 24 visitors.

Long-time former Astros television announcer Greg Lucas signs copies of his book, "Houston to Cooperstown - The Houston Astros Biggio & Bagwell Years" at Hook, Line & Sinker between 5:30-7 p.m. National Anthem by Laurna McFarland.
