October is here already so get ready for weekends full of Fall Festivals and Halloween fun! Remember, some of these activities may require registration. Always check with the organizations for the most updated information or if you have any questions. We appreciate the shares and likes. If we're missing something, let us know! Friday, October 6

Art Museum of South Texas Frost Free Friday from 10 am - 5 pm
The first Friday of every month is free public admission to the Art Museum of South Texas. The Gift Shop and Hester's Cafe also are open to the public.

Art Museum of South Texas Dollar After Dark from 5:30 to 9 pm
Visit the Museum after hours for a special reduced admissions rate of $1 during Artwalk!

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Family Night Hike at 6:30 pm 
Come and join us to see the Preserve’s natural wonders at night! This will be an hour guided nature walk to experience the trails and wildlife after dark. This program is designed for families only as we will be playing interactive games on the trails targeted for younger children. Flashlights/headlamps are not required as we will use senses other than sight! Please bring good walking shoes, water and dress for the weather. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Cost: Free. Must register in advance online.

Saturday, October 7 

Home Depot Kids Workshop Fire House Bank from 9 am to 12 pm

Join our hands-on workshop and you and your child can build a cute coin bank with a fire station design. Once the bank is built, your child can decorate it with paint and stickers. All kids get to keep their project, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron and pin.

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Guided Nature Walks from 9 to 10 am
Meet on the Learning Center porch. Please bring good walking shoes, plenty of water, and dress for the weather. This program is FREE of charge and open to individuals and families. Binoculars and field guides will be loaned on a first come first served basis. All children attending the program must be accompanied by an adult. For more information contact 361-826-PLAY (7529)

Art Center of Corpus Christi Family Art Time from 10 am to 2 pm
Free fun art time for families every Saturday! Families of all ages are welcome. CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT, drop-in art activity, no registration. While supplies last.

Michaels Kids Club Sprout Character Canvas from 10 am to 12 pm
They craft, you shop! Kids 3 and up can enjoy a quick and take home a finished masterpiece. Sign up in store or online, or just drop in. Parent or guardian must remain on premises during the event.

Alamo Drafthouse Corpus Christi PBS Kids at the Alamo: Halloween Special at 10:30 am
Reserve your seat with a donation with all ticket sales benefiting education programs at your local PBS station. This is an all-ages show with Alamo for All rules - noisy young fans won't be asked to leave the theater but we do ask that cellphones and other devices stay dark.

Gulf Coast Humane Society Pet Pawfest from 11 am to 1 pm 
Family friendly pet showcase with cat agility, Cuddles and Critters Petting Zoo, Flyball (Texas Twisters Flyball Club) and disk dog demos, vendors, food trucks, hopefully a lot of adoptions, and much more!

Alamo Drafthouse Corpus Christi My Little Pony Movie Party at 11 am
Reserve Friendship is Magic! Join us for a Galloping Gala Family Party to celebrate the MY LITTLE PONY Movie on the big screen. We'll have Pinkie Pie's Party Corner where you can decorate and make your own pony ears, a cutie mark station where you can choose your own cutie mark and add some sparkle that would make Rarity proud! Costumes are definitely encouraged and all guests will have a chance to take pictures in our photobooth. After we've finished spreading glitter and friendship all throughout the Alamo Drafthouse theater, we'll all trot to our seats and watch MY LITTLE PONY on the big screen with our new friends. Specially-themed kids meals will be available for purchase. All pony activities start 30 minutes before show time, so make sure you’re early or you’ll miss out on the magical crafts!

German Food and Drink.   Live music, children's area, crafts.  Kids area includes bounce house, kiddie train, face painting and games with prizes! All free for children under 12 accompanied by an adult. Craft and novelty booths! Wear your lederhosen, dirndls and Oktoberfest hats!
