It's that time of the year again and as usual we are your complete guide to all the holiday fun and Christmas events in the Corpus Christi area! These are all the events going on in the month of November. There are many regular annual events that haven't posted their information yet, so make sure to check back often because this site will be updated regularly. Always check with the organization for the most updated information since information is subject to change. All events in Corpus Christi unless indicated. Don't worry, we will remind you about these events as well! Harbor Playhouse Presents: A Christmas Carol This timeless classic is a spectacular musical, which tells the tale of Ebenezer Scrooge as he goes through a series of strange events after being warned by his former business partner Jacob Marley to change his ways. This brilliant musical follows Scrooge on Christmas Eve, as he is visited by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, which leads him to ultimately discover the true spirit of Christmas.

Art Museum of South Texas Christmas Tree Forest: A Reading Wonderland
Once again reflecting the theme of A Reading Wonderland, 30 school groups read their chosen award-winning childhood classic book, created related decorations, and trimmed their trees accordingly. As an added bonus, AMST visitors may cast their votes for their top three favorite trees.

Aurora Arts Theatre Presents A Christmas Story The Musical
A Christmas Story - This musical, which received rave reviews on its Broadway run, is based on the movie classic that runs round-the-clock on television every Christmas. Set in the 1940s in the fictional town of Hohman, Indiana, the musical follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker and his quest for the Holy Grail of Christmas gifts—an Official Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot Range Model air rifle. Rebuffed at every turn with a similar echoing response, Ralphie plots numerous schemes to achieve his desperate desire for the coveted BB gun.
Runs November 17-December 31(Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pn and Sunday 2:30 matinee). Note: There will be no performances December 23-25 or December 30-January 1.

Texas State Aquarium Scuba Santa
The TSA will introduce Scuba Santa to guests who visit Caribbean Journey’s H-E-B Caribbean Sea at 11 am and 3 pm. Scuba Santa and a few of his helpers will teach guests about the aquatic residents of the 400,000-gallon exhibit and will be available to take a unique holiday photo with guests. Santa will be returning daily December 1-24 in the H-E-B Caribbean Sea at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. An enhanced program schedule including wildlife encounters, animal feedings, and the popular Dolphins and Wild Flight presentations will also be available. Scuba Santa and all other presentations are included at no extra cost with guests’ admission or membership.

A dazzling performance showcasing an immersive dance experience of the classic holiday production of The Nutcracker! The Department of Music at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi 17th Annual Holiday Gala Concert at 7:30 pm
The concert features students and faculty in a wide variety of holiday favorites for the whole family, from familiar Christmas carols to new arrangements. Pre-performance activities, including a holiday coloring station, craft station and special appearance by Mrs. And Mrs. Clause, Frosty, Snowman and Elves, start at 6:30 p.m. in the PAC lobby.

St. Mark's Episcopal Church Breakfast with Santa from 9 - 11:30 am
Begin the morning visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Claus as their photographer snaps a keepsake photograph. Then sit down with your family and friends to enjoy a delicious breakfast of fresh, hot pancakes and sausage. Afterwards you can participate in games, crafts and a beautiful Christmas story shared by Santa Claus himself!

Home Depot Christmas Gingerbread House Kids Workshop from 9 am to 12 pm
A hands-on workshop where parents and kids put together a wooden gingerbread house that will last year after year. No frosting required! Once the gingerbread house is built, your child can decorate it with paint and stickers. All Kids Workshop attendees must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron, and pin.

Early Scholars Academy Winter Festival from 9 to 11 am

City of Rockport Tropical Christmas from 10 am-7 pm
Day-long, pirate-themed extravaganza kicking off the holiday season with fun, festivities, fireworks and more in Historical Rockport. Among the featured events are an illuminated night parade, children’s programs, decorating contests, pet costume contest, arts and crafts festival, food and entertainment, and, of course, a visit with “Tropical Santa." Topping off the annual event will be a spectacular fireworks display.

Michael Martin Murphey is not only the number one, best-selling singer/songwriter of American Cowboy Music, he's one of the world's most respected singer/songwriters in the Pop and Country-Western field. In May, 1975 Murphey’s story song, "Wildfire," reached No. 1 on the Radio and Records charts, No.3 on Billboard's Pop Chart, and No. 1 on all Adult Contemporary Charts, giving the artist vast commercial exposure. Michael broke ground with an innovative concert concept called "Cowboy Christmas" in 1987 which has become a trademarked touring show and musical concept for him.

Robert Wollman Planetarium "Season of Light" at 6 pm
Explore the reasons humans are so fascinated with lighting up our lives during the winter holiday seasons in an elegant, sophisticated non-denominational presentation. Naturally, there is some astronomy in "Season of Light." We catch a few Northern winter constellations, illustrate why we even have seasons, and explore the possible astronomical explanations for a "Star over Bethlehem." For evening shows, it might be a good idea to bring a jacket or sweater.
