It's that time of the year again and as usual we are your complete guide to all the holiday fun and Christmas events in the Corpus Christi area! These are all the events going on in the month of November. There are many regular annual events that haven't posted their information yet, so make sure to check back often because this site will be updated regularly. Always check with the organization for the most updated information since information is subject to change. All events in Corpus Christi unless indicated. Don't worry, we will remind you about these events as well! If your organization has something going on and would like to be included, send us an email. Also, compiling these lists is a lot of work, so please by courteous and give credit to Corpus Christi Fun for Kids when using this info.

Visits with Santa at The Outlets at Corpus Christi Bay
Dash on over to get your photos taken as the outlets will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland. Stroll the stores, enjoy the food trucks and find savings that would make Santa blush. Our open-air, village-style center is your holiday headquarters for shopping, saving and mingling.

Harbor Playhouse Presents: A Christmas Carol
Runs: November 17 - December 17 (Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm and some Sunday 2:30 pm matinees)
This timeless classic is a spectacular musical, which tells the tale of Ebenezer Scrooge as he goes through a series of strange events after being warned by his former business partner Jacob Marley to change his ways. This brilliant musical follows Scrooge on Christmas Eve, as he is visited by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, which leads him to ultimately discover the true spirit of Christmas.

Art Museum of South Texas Christmas Tree Forest: A Reading Wonderland
Runs: November 18-December 13
Once again reflecting the theme of A Reading Wonderland, 30 school groups read their chosen award-winning childhood classic book, created related decorations, and trimmed their trees accordingly. As an added bonus, AMST visitors may cast their votes for their top three favorite trees.

Aurora Arts Theatre Presents A Christmas Story The Musical
Runs November 17-December 31  (Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pn and Sunday 2:30 matinee). Note: There will be no performances December 23-25 or December 30-January 1.
A Christmas Story - This musical, which received rave reviews on its Broadway run, is based on the movie classic that runs round-the-clock on television every Christmas. Set in the 1940s in the fictional town of Hohman, Indiana, the musical follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker and his quest for the Holy Grail of Christmas gifts—an Official Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot Range Model air rifle. Rebuffed at every turn with a similar echoing response, Ralphie plots numerous schemes to achieve his desperate desire for the coveted BB gun.

Tuesday, November 7

La Palmera Mall Santa's Arrival Illuminated Parade from 6-8 pm
Guests are invited to bring their lawn chairs and get a good a spot for the outdoor portion of the evening beginning at 6 pm. Two of Santa’s reindeer will be on display between Longhorn Steakhouse and Ulta as festive street fair performers, including costumed stilt walkers, juggler and hula hooper entertain the crowds as they await Santa’s Illuminated Parade, presented by Apollo Towing. Everyone is encouraged to find festive ways to help light the night with glow sticks, glow jewelry, etc.—be creative! Santa’s Illuminated Parade, presented by Apollo Towing, will step off at 6:30 pm outside the mall (from the west side of Dillard’s to the east side of JCPenney) featuring Santa and a variety of groups from the Corpus Christi community. Following the parade, activities continue outside, including Santa’s reindeer, as well as live holiday entertainment and performances inside with face painting and special character appearances until 8 pm. Visits with Santa in Center Court are available until 9 p.m. Food Court Entertainment starts at 5:30 pm.

Michaels Kids Club Craft Stick Ornaments from 10 am - 12 pm
They craft, you shop! Kids 3 and up can enjoy a quick project and take home a finished masterpiece. Sign up in store or online, or just drop in. $2 per project, supplies included. Art Museum of South Texas Moms and Tots (and sometimes POPS!) Turkey Trouble from 10 - 11:30 am
After reading the story of the same name by Wendi Silvano, illustrated by Lee Harper, we'll head down to the art studio to create our own turkeys in disguise!

The Outlets at Corpus Christi Bay Santa's Arrival from 10 am-9 pm
Santa will be the featured celebrity in the Cottonfest Parade. The Parade ends at the Outlets at 10am and marks Santa’s official arrival for the season. All of the good little boys and girls will have the chance to have cookies and a visit with Santa before he gets really busy this holiday season.

Home Depot Christmas Ornament Kids Workshop from 9 am to 12 pm
A hands-on workshop where parents and kids can create a holiday picture frame that doubles as a Christmas ornament. Perfect for gifting or adding to the family's holiday decor. Once the picture frame is built, children can decorate it with paint and holiday stickers. All Kids Workshop attendees must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron, and pin.

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Thanksgiving Nature and Crafts from 10:30–11:30 am
Making a FREE turkey themed craft! Create up to three different turkey crafts! Great opportunity for children to help develop their observation, decision-making and motor skills. Food Truck Christmas Village Corpus Christi from 12 to midnight 
Come fill your ears with Christmas music from local bands and entertainment at the Jolly Stage & Santa's Elves Play Zone. Bring your camera or let us take your child’s photograph with Santa Claus. A mailbox in the village will be ready to receive Santa’s letters. Have your child drop by to write his or her wish list to Santa. Santa’s elves will make a special trip to pick up all the letters. Bell/Whittington Public Library The Gingerbread Man by The Magik Theater from 6 - 8 pm
The Gingerbread Man performed by The Magik Theater! On a cold winter day, an elderly couple makes a gingerbread boy. Pleased with their work they wish the boy was real. Old Man Winter hears their wish, and the Gingerbread Boy is magically brought to life, only to run away when he fears he will be replaced. Will the Gingerbread Boy be reunited with his mama and papa? Will there be a happy ending? Follow us through this Christmas musical featuring holiday tunes from around the world! This performance made possible by a donation for an area affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Robert Wollman Planetarium "Season of Light" at 6 pm
Explore the reasons humans are so fascinated with lighting up our lives during the winter holiday seasons in an elegant, sophisticated non-denominational presentation. Naturally, there is some astronomy in "Season of Light." We catch a few Northern winter constellations, illustrate why we even have seasons, and explore the possible astronomical explanations for a "Star over Bethlehem." For evening shows, it might be a good idea to bring a jacket or sweater.
Cost: Admission (cash or check) Adults $4 Seniors (age 55+): $3, Children (age 4-15) $3, Children under 4 free. Tickets go on sale 30 minutes prior to each show time. There is no late seating. Reservations are not required for the Tuesday evening shows. Tips: The planetarium does get cold at times.
