Art Museum of South Texas Frost Free Friday from 10 am - 5 pm
The first Friday of every month is free public admission to the Art Museum of South Texas. The Gift Shop and Hester's Cafe also are open to the public.

Marina Arts District Downtown Artwalk from 5:30 to 10 pm
A free shuttle will transport people throughout the ArtWalk with stops at the Art Museum of South Texas, House of Rock, Water Street Oyster and Sushi Bar, Urbana and The Exchange - Corpus Christi. ArtWalk information cards will be available on the shuttle and at ArtWalk locations throughout the event.br /> Cost: Free admission

Nueces County Medical Society Walk with a Doc from 8 - 9:30 am
Wellness fun with the Nueces County Medical Society (NCMS). Will start with a short presentation on the benefits of walking for you and the whole family. Then enjoy a healthy walk on the beautiful TAMUCC hike and bike trail!

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Guided Nature Walks from 9 to 10 am
Meet on the Learning Center porch. Please bring good walking shoes, plenty of water, and dress for the weather. This program is FREE of charge and open to individuals and families. Binoculars and field guides will be loaned on a first come first served basis. All children attending the program must be accompanied by an adult. For more information contact 361-826-PLAY (7529)

Home Depot Kids Workshop Block Calendar from 9 am to 12 pm
Get organized for 2018 in our hands-on Workshop where you and your child can assemble a wooden block calendar to kick off the new year. Useful year-round, the block calendar is perfect for a tabletop display. Once the calendar construction is complete, your child can decorate it with paint and stickers. All Kids Workshop attendees must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron, and pin.

Free fun art time for families every Saturday! Families of all ages are welcome. CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT, drop-in art activity, no registration. While supplies last.

Alamo Drafthouse Corpus Christi PBS Kids at the Alamo: Odd Squad at 10:30 am
Reserve your seat with a donation with all ticket sales benefiting education programs at your local PBS station. This is an all-ages show with Alamo for All rules - noisy young fans won't be asked to leave the theater but we do ask that cellphones and other devices stay dark.

36th Annual Boar's Head and Yule Log Festival at 3, 5 and 7 pm
Over 180 authentically costumed characters from Medieval England celebrate the meaning of Christmas in music, drama, & dance with this spectacular Epiphany pageant. All ages will delight in this traditional close to the Christmas season and start of the New Year.
Cost: Admission is free, although canned goods and non perishable items are collected for the Food Bank.

Chuck E. Cheese's Sensory Sensitive Sundays at 8 am
Sensory-friendly experience on the first Sunday of every month. Our trained and caring staff is there to make sure each guest has a fun filled visit. The Sensory Sensitive Sundays experience includes less crowding and noise, dimmed lighting, show and music turned off or down, limited appearances by Chuck E. food and games are offered.

Marina Arts District BridgeWalk from 8:30 am - 10:30 am am 
Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. and Walk begins at 8:30am. BridgeWalk is a monthly opportunity to get some exercise with a one-of-a-kind view. The bridge route takes you up and over the beautiful Corpus Christi Harbor Bridge. There is an Alternate route for those with strollers, small children, and animals – this scenic route goes down along the water to the Marina T Heads and back. Both routes are approximately 6,020 yards (3.42 miles). Updated regarding weather or other interference can always be found on our website and social media pages.

Padre Island National Seashore Sea Turtle Release at 11:45 am
100 or more Green sea turtles that were found cold stunned will be released. Representatives from the park and other organizations involved in the rescue and care for these turtles will be present and will provide information and instructions about the release.
Cost: Park entrance fees will be waived for people attending the release.

To attend, follow park road 22 out to Padre Island National Seashore, located on North Padre Island.
Drive approximately two miles past the entrance station to the Malaquite Visitor Center and park there. Walk through the visitor center complex to the boardwalk and proceed down to the beach, this is where the release will be conducted.


Galilean Lutheran Festival of Lights at 6 and 7:30 pm
Follow the Magi through the life of Jesus in this free interactive presentation for the whole family. Every few minutes a group embarks on the 20 minute journey lit by lights and accompanied by a guide, a journey of story, song, games and gifts. Join them inside afterwards for live music and Rosca de Reyes (King Cake). The last group is at 7:15 pm.
