The first weekend of the month means that there are a ton of activities for your family to choose from! Remember, some of these activities may require registration. Always check with the organizations for the most updated information or if you have any questions. We appreciate the shares and likes. If we're missing something, let us know! Harbor Playhouse Presents Annie at 7:30 pm (Sunday at 2:30 pm) With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage that is run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the Orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC. She finds a new home and family in billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.

Art Museum of South Texas Frost Free Friday from 10 am - 5 pm
The first Friday of every month is free public admission to the Art Museum of South Texas. The Gift Shop and Hester's Cafe also are open to the public.

TAMUCC Opera Workshop Presents Hansel and Gretel at 7:30 pm
Humperdinck's classic fairy tale opera "Hansel and Gretel," in an condensed, updated version by Denise Page Caraher. This production, suitable for all ages, lasts under an hour and is directed by Dr. Ellen Denham. The opera features spoken dialogue and sung selections from the beautiful, Romantic score conducted by Dr. Jose Flores with Dr. Sangmi Lim on piano and students from the TAMUCC Orchestra. Sculptures designed by Prof. Leticia Bajuyo will enhance the production.
Cost: Tickets will be available at the door and are $10 adults, $8 seniors, and $5 students/military with ID. In a special promotion, each ticket category is buy one, get one FREE with a non-perishable breakfast item to be donated in the lobby to Izzy's Food Pantry. Make sure to check your kid's backpacks for a flyer that gives CCISD students free admission with an adult ticket and donation to Izzy's Food Pantry (up to 4 students).

South Texas Botanical Gardens an Nature Center Annual Big Bloom Event from 9 am to 5 pm

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Guided Nature Walks from 9 to 10 am
Meet on the Learning Center porch. Please bring good walking shoes, plenty of water, and dress for the weather. This program is open to individuals and families. Binoculars and field guides will be loaned on a first come first served basis. All children attending the program must be accompanied by an adult. For more information contact 361-826-PLAY (7529)

Home Depot Kids Workshop Window Birdhouse from 9 am to 12 pm
Encourage a love for nature and ornithology in our hands-on workshop where you and your child can build a window birdhouse. Your young birdwatcher can observe birds’ behaviors like building a nest and watching eggs hatch without the need for expensive equipment. Once your birdhouse is built, your child can decorate it with paint and stickers. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a free certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron, and pin.

Coastal Bend Bays Foundation Annual Earth Day-Bay Day from 10 am to 5 pm
Climb a rock wall, catch a fish, touch a sea urchin, watch raptors dazzle us with tricks, all while learning about the importance of environmental stewardship and appreciation for our precious coastal natural resources. Dozens of local, regional and state organizations, businesses and government agencies will join CBBF to provide free education, entertainment and resources to the public to promote awareness and inspire conservation for our coastal wildlife and environments. Come out and have fun with some of our fabulous exhibitors, presenters and vendors! There will be activities and exhibits from Wild Sky Productions Raptor Shows, Youth Odyssey and the Rock Wall, the Kiwanis Club Fishing Pond, Gladys Porter Zoo, Coastal Bend Surfrider Foundation, Texas State Aquarium, Del Mar College Geospatial Technology Center, Grow Local South Texas, Coastal Expo, Wildlife in Focus, City of Corpus Christi Stormwater Division, Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Thief Trailer, Perfect Impressions Face Painting, and many others! There will also be several food trucks on hand to offer a variety of tasty treats. The Sierra Club will also have three types of electric cars for folks to check out!

Michaels Kids Club Spring Kites from 10 am to 12 pm
They craft, you shop! Kids 3 and up can enjoy a quick and take home a finished masterpiece. Sign up in store or online, or just drop in. Parent or guardian must remain on premises during the event.

Alamo Drafthouse Corpus Christi PBS Kids at the Alamo: Explore the Outdoors with Wild Kratts and Nature Cat at 10:30 am
Reserve your seat with a donation with all ticket sales benefiting education programs at your local PBS station. This is an all-ages show with Alamo for All rules - noisy young fans won't be asked to leave the theater but we do ask that cell phones and other devices stay dark.

Corpus Christi Concert Ballet Presents Cinderella at 7:30 pm
Join CC Concert Ballet for this full-length ballet of the rags to riches fairy tale of Cinderella! You will be swept away by the beautiful young lady that serves her evil stepmother and stepsisters. Watch as the Fairy Godmother helps Cinderella transform into a dazzling beauty to attend a grand ball where she falls madly in love with the Prince. But what will happen when the clock strikes midnight? This performance is not to be missed!

Chuck E. Cheese's Sensory Sensitive Sundays at 8 am
Sensory-friendly experience on the first Sunday of every month. Trained and caring staff is there to make sure each guest has a fun filled visit. The Sensory Sensitive Sundays experience includes less crowding and noise, dimmed lighting, show and music turned off or down, limited appearances by Chuck E. food and games are offered.

Marina Arts District BridgeWalk from 8:30 am - 10:30 am am 
Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. and Walk begins at 8:30am. BridgeWalk is a monthly opportunity to get some exercise with a one-of-a-kind view. The bridge route takes you up and over the beautiful Corpus Christi Harbor Bridge. There is an Alternate route for those with strollers, small children, and animals – this scenic route goes down along the water to the Marina T Heads and back. Both routes are approximately 6,020 yards (3.42 miles). Updated regarding weather or other interference can always be found on website and social media pages.

Texas State Aquarium Sensory Sensitive Sunday from 9 to 11 am 
Come enjoy the aquarium in a quieter, modified environment designed for families with children who have autism and other special needs. This special event, held as part of the Texas State Aquarium's Diversity and Inclusion Initiative, will feature: sensory-friendly modifications, modified animal presentations, quieter/calmer environment, staff with sensory disorder training.
