Happy weekend! A great Spring weekend coming up with lots of fun activities for the whole family. Remember, some of these activities may require registration. The Birdiest Festival in America 
Features field trips throughout South Texas for some of the best bird sightings in the country. birding workshops, guest speakers, trade show, Raptor Project shows, and more. Events take place in various locations throughout the area. See link for details.

South Texas Botanical Gardens and Nature Center 
The public can enjoy parts of “Birdiest Festival in America” for reduced Botanical Gardens admission through Sunday! There will be arts and crafts booths on Saturday and new Family Fun Area. Click the link for the full schedule and you can also check out the Raptor Show.

Mireles Elementary PTA Maritime Festival 2018 from 5:30 - 8:30 pm 
Food, Games, and Fun for the whole Family! Bounce Houses, Rockwall Climb, Pony Ride, Games, Petting Zoo, Food Trucks and much more! There will be a Silent Auction with many wonderful items. Hope to see everyone there!

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Guided Nature Walks from 9 to 10 am
Meet on the Learning Center porch. Please bring good walking shoes, plenty of water, and dress for the weather. This program is FREE of charge and open to individuals and families. Binoculars and field guides will be loaned on a first come first served basis. All children attending the program must be accompanied by an adult. For more information contact 361-826-PLAY (7529)

Texas State Aquarium Party for the Planet from 9 am to 3 pm
First, join us at Adopt-A-Beach from 9 am to 12 pm and help clean up North Beach. Participants will earn discounted admission to the Aquarium! Then from 10 am - 3 pm, celebrate our wildlife and the natural world with fun games and activities throughout our Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Journey habitats, including: scavenger hunt, raffle with prizes, T-shirt bag making station, native wildflower seed balls activity, sustainable seafood tasting with red snapper, Party for the Planet cake, face-painting, eco-friendly bubbles, eco-friendly face painting, Tic Tac Tocean, recycling corn hole, party for the Planet-themed animal enrichment, eco-tips throughout underwater exhibits ....and more!

La Retama Central Library Celebrate Books, Art and Music from 10 am to 4 pm
Library festival fun for all. Celebrate Week of the Young Child with children's activities from 10 am to 12 pm. Activities include face painting, crafts, games, music fun, live animal, Dinos Alive CC and more. Teen activities from 12 pm to 4pm include body art, crafts, games, and more.

Alamo Drafthouse Corpus Christi PBS Kids at the Alamo: Explore the Outdoors with Wild Kratts and Nature Cat at 10:30 am
Reserve your seat with a donation with all ticket sales benefiting education programs at your local PBS station. This is an all-ages show with Alamo for All rules - noisy young fans won't be asked to leave the theater but we do ask that cell phones and other devices stay dark.

Corpus Christi Symphony Pops in the Park from 7:30 to 9:30 pm
A unique, family-friendly event that combines the magic of music, a synchronized light show on the iconic Harbor Bridge and a magnificent fireworks display that fills the night sky with vivid colors. Celebrating our seventh year, Pops in the Park has become a South Texas family favorite where children are able to play in the Kid’s Zone throughout the performance and are introduced to various musical instruments in the Instrument Petting Zoo. The event kicks off with a pre-concert show which includes performances by student musical groups and civic organizations, a salute to the military, and culminates with the sounds of the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra. This year’s concert will feature a special guest performer, Jeremy Jordan. Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, Jeremy Jordan is a Tony and Grammy nominated vocalist

Art Center of Corpus Christi Sunday Pop Up Farmers Market from 11 am to 2 pm 
We will be hosting a fun celebration day for the youth of our community to tell us all how they got involved in leadership projects to support change in food security and sustainable agriculture in the Coastal Bend. We will also be inviting any of our vendor friends to set up their farmers market booths for all to purchase more great seasonal goodies on a beautiful Spring day in Downtown Corpus Christi.
