End of the month already! That doesn't mean there aren't fun things to do, lots of things to do this weekend as usual. Texas SandFest 
The largest Native-Sand Sand Sculpture Competition in the USA — is an internationally recognized 3-day family event that draws sculptors and tens of thousands of visitors from around the world each year to Port Aransas. Join the fun for some amazing sand sculptures, food, live music, kids activities and shopping for jewelry, arts & crafts, clothing, furniture, souvenirs and more in the vendor area.

Top athletes in the sport of ProRodeo compete against the rankest livestock. Then, after an action-packed two hours of ProRodeo, fans will enjoy a concert featuring a national recording artist! H-E-B Mutton Bustin’ Mania and Whataburger’s Junior Barrel Racing before the rodeo. Enjoy family fun before the Rodeo in the Kids Corral Interactive Zone on Resaca Street, just outside of the American Bank Center arena.

Friday, April 27

Sparkling City Heroes Appearance at AMC Theater from 5 to 11 pm
The Sparkling City Heroes will promote Avengers: Infinity War along with Corpus Christi Parks and Rec REC-CON coming in May. Come take pictures with CorpusChristi Joker, Deadpool, Green Arrow, CC Spidey, Girlgilla, Daredevil just to name a few.

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Guided Nature Walks from 9 to 10 am
Meet on the Learning Center porch. Please bring good walking shoes, plenty of water, and dress for the weather. This program is FREE of charge and open to individuals and families. Binoculars and field guides will be loaned on a first come first served basis. All children attending the program must be accompanied by an adult. For more information contact 361-826-PLAY (7529)

King of Chrome Car Show from 9 am to 5 pm
Check out a showroom full of custom vehicles from the Coastal Bend. You can expect to see, experience and touch some of the latest and greatest Custom Cars, Trucks, and Motorcycles.

Leather Tooling Class with Louis Edwin Escamilla from Lowbrow Leather at 10 am
Join Louis at Tandy Leather to make this small front pocket wallet with rose design. Some tools will be supplied others might have to be purchased. You are encouraged to bring your tools if you have them. Children must be accompanied by a guardian.

Alamo Drafthouse Corpus Christi PBS Kids at the Alamo: Explore the Outdoors with Wild Kratts and Nature Cat at 10:30 am

Tippi Toes Mother and Daughter Tea from 3 to 4:30 pm
Mother & Daughter Tea Parties are a great way to bring the women in your family closer during an afternoon of fun crafts, activities and more! Our Mother & Daughter Tea Party is packed full of crafts that mothers & daughters can build and design together. Daughters will also get to take a picture with mom and get it printed and stuck in a picture frame the daughters create during the Tea. Tea & pink lemonade, desserts, snacks & treats are served during the Tea Party to all guests. Activities are set up such as face painting and a fun photo-booth for all the guests! A surprise princess guest always makes an appearance!
Cost: Tickets are $45 per mom & daughter couple, $15 per additional daughter & $10 per additional female adult (aunt, cousin, grandmother, etc.).

Art Museum of South Texas Free Family Day: Tree of Life of Future Generations from 1 to 3 pm
Join us for a special Sunday afternoon as we unveil: Árbol de Vida de Nuestras Futuras Generaciones (Tree of Life of Our Future Generations), created by Patricia & Paul Castillo with the Arts After School students at the Antonio E. Garcia Arts & Education Center. Hands-on art activities, music and more will round out this afternoon of fine art and fun for the whole family.
