It's the weekend and we are so ready for it! Remember, some of these activities may require registration. Always check with the organizations for the most updated information or if you have any questions. We appreciate the shares and likes. If we're missing something, let us know! Dr. Clotilde P. Garcia Public Library Pop-Up Planetarium starting at 12 pm
Most showings are 20-35 minutes long.
Cost: Free. No registration is required, however space is limited.

La Retama Central Library Summer Matinee at 2 pm
Join us for a family movie. Popcorn and snacks will be served while supplies last. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks to enjoy during the movie.

Garcia Arts and Education Center Family Night Out at 6 pm 
Free event offered by the to encourage family fun and bonding. It includes free dinner, a fun icebreaker activity, an overview of a topic related to building family support, some fun activities based on that topic

Padre Island National Seashore Turtle Hatchling Release at 6:45 am 
A turtle hatchling release is expected either July 21st or 22nd. Dates are always tentative but you can call the Hatchling Hotline the morning of to make sure it at 361-949-7163 for the latest information about the release

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Guided Nature Walks from 9 to 10 am
Meet on the Learning Center porch. Please bring good walking shoes, plenty of water, and dress for the weather. This program is open to individuals and families. Binoculars and field guides will be loaned on a first come first served basis. All children attending the program must be accompanied by an adult. For more information contact 361-826-PLAY (7529)

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Family Science Explorations from 10 am to 12 pm
Explore science topics as a family! This 2-hour program provides a science exploration experience similar to camps or field trips, but you get to bring your family! Hurricanes: Hurricanes are the most powerful weather phenomenon on the planet. We will explore tropical weather through several fun hands on activities including making a cloud in a bottle, learn about the power of hurricanes, and how they form.  This program is open to individuals and families with children 5 and up. All children attending the program must be accompanied by an adult. Each program is limited to 25 participants. For more information, contact (361) 826-3947.

Art Center of Corpus Christi Family Art Time from 10 am to 2 pm
Free fun art time for families every Saturday! Families of all ages are welcome. CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT, drop-in art activity, no registration. While supplies last.

Michaels Kids Club Jam-bor-ee from 10 am to 12 pm
They craft, you shop! Kids 3 and up can enjoy a quick and take home a finished masterpiece. Sign up in store or online, or just drop in. Parent or guardian must remain on premises during the event.
Cost: $2 per child for kids 3-6, $5 for kids 6+. Supplies included.

Alamo Drafthouse Corpus Christi PBS Kids at the Alamo: Nature Cat at 10 am
Reserve your seat with a donation with all ticket sales benefiting education programs at your local PBS station. This is an all-ages show with Alamo for All rules - noisy young fans won't be asked to leave the theater but we do ask that cell phones and other devices stay dark.
