Corpus Christi Hooks vs. Midland RockHounds at 7:05 pm
Gates open 5:35 pm. First 1,500 fans take home a Hooks Maroon Cap, thanks to Texas A&M Health Science Center Friday Fireworks postgame, presented by Bud Light Texas Lottery Lucky Scratch Ticket Dance-Off.

Saturday, August 25

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Guided Nature Walks from 9 to 10 am
Meet on the Learning Center porch. Please bring good walking shoes, plenty of water, and dress for the weather. This program is open to individuals and families. Binoculars and field guides will be loaned on a first come first served basis. All children attending the program must be accompanied by an adult. For more information contact 361-826-PLAY (7529)

Art Center of Corpus Christi Family Art Time from 10 am to 2 pm
Free fun art time for families every Saturday! Families of all ages are welcome. CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT, drop-in art activity, no registration. While supplies last.

Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History Dollar Day from 10 am to 5 pm 
All power to the engines, Captain! Come to Corpus Christi Museum’s Engineering Day, where you can meet REAL engineers from Flint Hills Resources. Pumps, pistons, motors, and magnets — learn about the exciting equipment used at our local refineries that make the world go ‘round. Michaels Kids Club Kawaii Canvas Art from 10 am to 12 pm
They craft, you shop! Kids 3 and up can enjoy a quick and take home a finished masterpiece. Sign up in store or online, or just drop in. Parent or guardian must remain on premises during the event.

Paw Patrol Live! Race to the Rescue at 10 am, 2 and 6 pm
PAW Patrol is on a roll with its hit live tour! It's the day of the Great Adventure Bay Race between Adventure Bay’s Mayor Goodway and Foggy Bottom’s Mayor Humdinger, but Mayor Goodway is nowhere to be found. PAW Patrol to the rescue! Ryder summons Marshall, Chase, Skye, Rubble, Rocky, Zuma and Everest to rescue Mayor Goodway and to run the race in her place.

Alamo Drafthouse Corpus Christi PBS Kids at the Alamo: Back to School with Daniel Tigers Neighborhood at 10 am

Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies Wetlands Workshop - The World is your Oyster! from 2 to 3:30 pm
Join us for another great event hosted by the Harte Research Institute and Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve. This series allows participants to interact with and learn directly from researchers at Harte. This month’s program is all about Oysters and Oyster Reefs. Oyster reefs use to be much more extensive in our bays than they are now. Oysters are referred too as “keystone” species because the entire habitat often depends their presence. Come join Harte Research Institute’s program as graduate students Meghan Martinez and Mikaela Zeigler share about the amazing biology of Oyster Reefs here in the Corpus Christi area and current research at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi. Program will include a short presentation and a fun activity for kids and families.

Corpus Christi Joker Presents Dart in the Park August Edition from 11 am to 3 pm
CCJ is back this is this’s months Dart in the Park event!!! All you need to bring is a Nerf blaster, safety glasses, water, sunscreen, Nerf darts and a great attitude!!! This will be the sixth DITP and our last one was a huge blast! Hope to see you all out there! Don’t forget to invite family and friends to this free community event!
