The Flip Flop Festival is an exciting, family-friendly event that visitors and locals like look forward to each year. The waterfront location and festival experience gives attendees a taste of what you can expect when you visit Port Lavaca - a welcoming atmosphere, friendly conversation, a great view of the water, cold drinks great food, shopping, and of course, flip-flops!

What Lurks Beneath at Goose Island State Park from 9 to 10 am 
Join Ranger Sarah to discover creatures lurking in our waters! The waters surrounding Goose Island State Park are full of creatures just waiting to be discovered. This hands-on program focuses on aquatic sampling techniques and identification of fish, crustaceans, and vegetation. Meet at the Day Use Picnic Area. *Optional: If you would like to get in the water, please wear closed-toed, closed-heel shoes that can get wet and muddy. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for all programs.
Cost: Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free). Program is subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather.

Home Depot Kids Workshop Field Goal Game from 9 am to 12 pm
Kids can build a game to test their aim and customize it with paint and stickers—play solo or with a friend and switch between field judge/scorekeeper and placekicker. Recommended for ages 5 through 12. All Kids Workshop attendees must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a free certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last.

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Guided Nature Walks from 9 to 10 am
Meet on the Learning Center porch. Please bring good walking shoes, plenty of water, and dress for the weather. This program is open to individuals and families. Binoculars and field guides will be loaned on a first come first served basis. All children attending the program must be accompanied by an adult. For more information contact 361-826-PLAY (7529)

Arts Alive Festival from 10 am to 5 pm
Two days of crazy creative fun at the Art Center of Corpus Christi. A uniquely interactive arts festival including visual arts, performance art, music, and food. Plus for the kids Family Art Time tent.; fun for the entire family.Saturday morning 100 free harmonicas will be given away to kids 12 and under so they can take a kids harmonica clinic (11:30) with Tim Gonzalez.

Michaels Kids Club Adorable Hedgehogs from 10 am to 12 pm
They craft, you shop! Kids 3 and up can enjoy a quick and take home a finished masterpiece. Sign up in store or online, or just drop in. Parent or guardian must remain on premises during the event.
Cost: $2 per child for kids 3-6, $5 for kids 6+. Supplies included.

Rockport Center for the Arts Free Family Saturdays from 10 am to 3:30 pm
Drop in anytime for a fun pointillist inspired project that kids of all ages, even kids at heart will be sure to love. All Ages Welcome.

Alamo Drafthouse Corpus Christi PBS Kids at the Alamo: Odd Squad at 10 am
Reserve your seat with a donation with all ticket sales benefiting education programs at your local PBS station. This is an all-ages show with Alamo for All rules - noisy young fans won't be asked to leave the theater but we do ask that cell phones and other devices stay dark.
