Art Museum of South Texas Frost Free Friday from 10 am - 5 pm
The first Friday of every month is free public admission to the Art Museum of South Texas. The Gift Shop and Hester's Cafe also are open to the public.

Mustang Island State Park Texas Parks and Wildlife from 9 to 11 am
Learn basic kayaking techniques.

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Guided Nature Walks from 9 to 10 am
Meet on the Learning Center porch. Please bring good walking shoes, plenty of water, and dress for the weather. This program is open to individuals and families. Binoculars and field guides will be loaned on a first come first served basis. All children attending the program must be accompanied by an adult. For more information contact 361-826-PLAY (7529)

Early Scholars Academy Community Helpers Read Aloud from 9:30 to 12 pm
It’s a bird, it’s a plane . . . no it’s a Super Community Helper! Families meet and greet with our Superheroes of our great community. This dynamic team will save the day in “All Around the World”, “All Things Living”, and “Destination Exploration”.

Michaels Kids Club Leafy Fun from 10 am to 12 pm
They craft, you shop! Kids 3 and up can enjoy a quick and take home a finished masterpiece. Sign up in store or online, or just drop in. Parent or guardian must remain on premises during the event.

Art Museum of South Texas Young Artist Workshop: It’s a Jungle Out There at 10:30 am
We will use tempera paints and pastels to create some vivid jungle-scapes with camouflaged creatures using overlapping techniques in the artist’s style. Program for children ages K5-12. Registration and payment two business days in advance are required.

Alamo Drafthouse Corpus Christi PBS Kids at the Alamo: Odd Squad at 10:30 am
Reserve your seat with a donation with all ticket sales benefiting education programs at your local PBS station. This is an all-ages show with Alamo for All rules - noisy young fans won't be asked to leave the theater but we do ask that cell phones and other devices stay dark.

Please bring a picnic lunch and plenty of water for everyone. Staff will be scattered around the area to answer questions and give background information on plants, animals, and history. Children ages 5-10, with an accompanying adult, experience FITNESS combined with TRAIL AND GARDEN activities, such as planting plants, stick stacking, wheelbarrow push, using gardening tools—plus hula hoops, ring toss, sensory and compass games. Texas State Museum of Asian Cultures and Education Bollywood In Colour and Sound Exhibit Opening from 6 to 9 pm
An evening celebrating Indian culture with food, music, film, and art. Including performances by the Kingsville Dhol Drummers, UT-Austin Mohini Dancers

Sunday, September 9

Marina Arts District BridgeWalk from 8:30 am to 10:30 am  
Registration starts at 8:00 am and walk begins at 8:30am. BridgeWalk is a monthly opportunity to get some exercise with a one-of-a-kind view. The bridge route takes you up and over the beautiful Corpus Christi Harbor Bridge. There is an Alternate route for those with strollers, small children, and animals – this scenic route goes down along the water to the Marina T Heads and back. Both routes are approximately 6,020 yards (3.42 miles). Updated regarding weather or other interference can always be found on website and social media pages.
