Halloween is less than a week away so that means this weekend is packed with spooky fun! There is always so much to do, especially in the month of October. Remember, some of these activities may require registration. Always check with the organizations for the most updated event information or if you have any questions. The Harbor Playhouse Presents The Addams Family 
Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm, Sunday 2:30 pm
A comedy musical. Bring the kids and follow Gomez and Morticia Addams as they struggle with the age-old problem of welcoming their daughter's new boyfriend into the family.

Del Mar College Viking Fall Carnival from 5 to 10 pm
Bones will clatter and teeth will chatter as Del Mar College holds its annual spooky fun fair featuring goblins and games, prizes for best costumes, and food and fun for everyone. Sponsored by Del Mar College’s Student Leadership and Campus Life Office and DMC registered student organizations, participants can expect a howling good time while helping student groups raise funds for their organizations and the worthy community causes they support.

Food trucks, games, inflatables, dunking booth, live entertainment and much more for the whole family. There will also be a silent auction with many great items. Come out and enjoy this safe and family oriented activity.

Garcia Arts and Education Center Sugar Skull Workshop from 6 to 8 pm
Sugar skull workshops let you decorate sugar skulls in memory of a loved one as a part of a tradition for Dia de los Muertos, the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead. Workshops are open to all ages.
Cost: Skulls are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Walk-ins are welcome but online registration is recommended.

Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center Guided Nature Walks from 9 to 10 am
Meet on the Learning Center porch. Please bring good walking shoes, plenty of water, and dress for the weather. This program is open to individuals and families. Binoculars and field guides will be loaned on a first come first served basis. All children attending the program must be accompanied by an adult. For more information contact 361-826-PLAY (7529)

Gill’s Landscape Nursery Fun Halloween Project from 9 am to 3 pm
Bring the kids for a pot a plant project. They'll provide a cup to decorate with Halloween stickers and colorful markers. Then they can plant a flower in them and watch them grow. Great garden fun, dress for some mess.

Texas State Aquarium Boo in the Blue from 10 am to 3 pm 
This not-so-spooky, family-friendly event will feature special animal enrichment sessions and dive shows, a Mad Science Lab, a costume contest, text scavenger hunt, and more! All activities are included with admission or membership and kids in costumes get in free!

Port Aransas Sand Pumpkin Patch from 10 am to 2 pm
Celebrate Halloween on the beach. Bring the whole family or come alone to carve your very own pumpkin head out of sand. The "pumpkin patch" will have a sculpture created by master sculptors with vines coming out of it. The vines will have pumpkin heads created from the sand for kids of ALL ages to carve any way they choose. Experts and volunteers will be on hand to help led by expert sandsculptor Mark Landrum.

This series allows participants to interact with and learn directly from researchers at Harte. This month’s program is all about fish anatomy, come learn about these fascinating creatures and make your own Fish Print art!.

10th Annual Dia De Los Muertos Street Festival from 3 to midnight
3 stages with live music and dance, both traditional and contemporary, made-by-hand arts and crafts expo, fine art exhibition and demonstrations, interactive artworks and activities, and Lucha Libre wrestling entertainment. Educational components include workshops, K-12 piñata contest, a Kids Corner with crafts and activities, and a community altar display where visitors may pay homage to a loved one of their own.
